Evan Davies
Dr. Davies began his academic training at Cornell University where he concentrated in anthropology and geological sciences, and has conducted fieldwork throughout the United States, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and the South Pacific. He completed his Ph.D. in cultural anthropology at Rice University where he concentrated on traditional Central African societies. Evan
received his Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg, and practices family medicine as well as infectious and tropical disease outside of Washington, DC.
Evan directs our impact initiatives, ensuring our programs involve affected individuals and sponsor the most promising research into new therapies. He is a member of the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene, an associate member of the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy, a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates, the Royal Geographical Society, London, and the Explorers Club of New York.
Julie Chase
Dr. Chase is the former Associate Dean for Medical Education at NYU School of Medicine, Associate Professor of Medicine and Founding Director of the Office of Medical Education, NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Julie is a multidisciplinary research grant reviewer, with many years of reviewing grants to researchers through the Explorers Club of New York.
Raymond Schuch
Dr. Schuch received his B.S. in Biology from SUNY Binghamton and his Ph.D. from Temple University School of Medicine in Microbiology and Immunology. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Uniformed Services University (National Naval Medical Center) and has previously
worked at The Rockefeller University as Research Assistant Professor and ContraFect Corporation as Vice President of Research. Currently, he is the VP, Director of US Operations at
Precisio Biotix Therapeutics (Dover, DE).
Throughout his career, Raymond’s work has focused on areas of bacterial parthenogenesis (how
bacteria cause diseases) and antimicrobial discovery and clinical development (how we can cure these diseases). He has lead several discovery programs leading to the identification of an entirely novel class of antimicrobial enzymes, progressing this technology from laboratory
studies through human clinical trials.
Gary Summers
Dr. Summers is a physicist by training and works directly in pharmacological research
Martin Hasler
Mr. Hasler heads the Swiss chapter of the foundation. Martin oversees and invests funds for maximum return.
He received an MBA, having studied international business finance and economics in the United States, Italy and Switzerland. After completing Swiss military service, with a base in Geneva, he worked initially in trading analytics of agricultural commodities for three years and then concentrated on petroleum for the last twenty five. He has led teams and spearheaded several projects which enabled his trading teams to remain world class. In addition, he took over his family's green coffee business as he is always up for the best cup.
Sara Taylor
Ms. Taylor heads the UK chapter of the foundation. She studied at Durham University and teaches biological science at Kent Collage in Canterbury
Robert Veritzan
Mr. Veritzan assists the Foundation with annual financial reporting and all required federal filing in the USA. He has an MBA in Taxation and Finance and spent his career in Accounting/Financial Services with KPMG, BDO, Seidman and Cablevision/MSG. Bob now volunteers his time working with special needs and disabled children.
